A third volume of true stories has been compiled and published by the Pittenweem Fishermen’s Memorial Association.
It follows the same format as the two previous volumes with historical and true life stories, humorous anecdotes, poetry and many images of local people and places. There are also throughout, images of many of the fishing industry paintings of James More Horsburgh of Pittenweem which he painted in his garret in his own unique style. Thanks to the family for allowing us to include these images of an industry now long gone.
- What and when was the ‘Battle of Cellardyke’?
- Where is California?
- Which local town had the first Post Office?
These and many other intriguing facts can be found whilst reading this book, priced again at £12 which we think is good value.
A list of stockists where the book can be bought is on the accompanying poster or it can be purchased online at pfma.bigcartel.com.
